Jajanan Anak masih di Luar Kendali BPOM

Pernahkah Anda memerhatikan zat apa saja yang terkandung dalam jajanan anak di sekolah? Karena merupakan pangan siap saji, pastinya sulit mengetahui pasti kandungan apa saja yang ada dalam jajanan tersebut.

'Inilah yang masih menjadi kendala bagi kami. Masalahnya, jajanan di sekolah itu bukan pangan olahan yang berada di bawah pengawasan kami. Sehingga, tidak ada yang bisa mengontrol hingga kini berapa kadar pemanis atau bahan tambahan pangannya,' kata Deputi Bidang Pengawasan Keamanan Pangan dan Bahan Berbahaya BPOM, Roy Sparingga, di Jakarta, Jumat (27/9).

Untuk itu, BPOM tentu tidak mungkin bekerja sendirian. Setelah menjalin kerja sama dengan pemerintah pusat dan daerah serta beberapa kementerian, BPOM berharap dapat memandirikan komunitas sekolah, termasuk guru murid, orang tua dan pihak kantin.

'Kami juga mengedukasi agar mereka mengawasi sendiri perihal konsumsi makanan anak-anak tersebut,' kata Roy.

Maka itu, pihaknya juga meminta masyarakat turut melaporkan jika ada oknum yang menjual jajanan anak dengan BTP berlebih.
